the First module in IELTS exam is listening. remember my word "it is a well prepared exam" it is the same exam for general and academic, and the same for all test takers on the hall.
all of test takers will wear headphones that receives the same soundtrack in the same time.
first they play a test record (not the exam) three times to make sure that your headphone is working properly and to let you adjust the volume of yours.
then you take the answer sheet and give you instructions how to fill your personal information, then they will give you the questions booklet.
you must fill your information with a pencil not a pen, write your name in capital letters, write your candidate number (that is found in your table) in the small boxes and shade them as they will guide you, and finally shade the numbers that identifies your test date.
you will not be able to open questions booklet until they notify you, and the exam will run in your headphones just like the tests in the Cambridge IELTS 1 to 12 series. , they give you time to read questions and check answers during the exam, and also the questions are well prepared that you have time to write your answer before they talk about the next answer.
it is the only module that gives you 10 minutes at the end to transfere your answers to the answersheet.
follow this blog to know more about other modules in the real exam exerience.
GOOD LUCK!
